The B.N.V. Remodeling, L.L.C. approach to kitchen and basement remodeling is to keep the disruption to a minimum. Dust and floor protection are always installed, ventilation systems protected from inhaling dust and throwing debris around your home. For the kitchen, we hook up the old sink and countertop section every night for use.
We know that renovating a kitchen can be expensive. A majority of our kitchen projects have the homeowner playing an active part. Whether supplying the cabinets, appliances or handling painting, the end result is that you will be able to save money and build “sweat equity” into your home.
Basements are a specialty of B.N.V. Remodeling. While we understand the challenges including mechanical systems, ceiling clearances and existing plumbing, we try to maximize the new living space and provide crisp lines and detail within the scope of the budget and the building code.
With the real estate market causing new home prices to soar, a number of new home buyers hold off on interior finish upgrades like crown molding and wainscot until a later time.
B.N.V. Remodeling, L.L.C. handles these upgrades and guarantees our installation is second to none. We will work with you in selecting the trim that is in proportion to your home and suggest other different trim work ideas to satisfy the style you’re looking for.
We also handle unique projects including a better way to install small pictures, constructing a media center or circular window bench.
The majority of houses built in the last 8-15 years are now starting to show signs of dry rot. One of the most common types of dry rot is found on exterior trim around windows and doorjambs.
This is caused primarily by; • Wrong installation of materials, (no priming of cut ends of wood). • Bad design, (not allowing water to drain away from the house). • Inferior materials, (finger-jointed wood that cannot handle the expansion & contraction of temperature change).
B.N.V. Remodeling has completed hundreds of trim replacement projects ranging from a small doorjamb repair to replacing the window trim for an entire home. We rarely use wood for exterior trim replacement. Our choice is PVC, (plastic), materials such as Azek, Certainteed, Tufboard and Never Rot. We install it using galvanized nails and stainless steel screws, which are covered with Bondo, an automotive body filler, sanded and then oil-primed.
